'Giant' Puppetry: Jester Costume
I made the Jester Costume for BA1 Puppetry Project, Summer 2023.
I dyed the Calico fabric, created the pattern to the performer, stitched it. This costume was a really enjoyable project to be part of, It had to allow the performer to to cart-wheel on stage, dance, puppeteer as well as holding props for the duration of the performance: For example: Had to ensure the trousers had a large pocket along the centre back seam of the trousers to carry a 'Fish Prop'- as in one scene the Jester attempts to make the 'King' laugh by 'farting out a goldfish'.
